End of the Year Picnic
Dear Families,
As our school year draws to a close we are going to be able to gather together for our school wide picnic! This is a wonderful opportunity for our staff, friends, and their families to gather and eat, play, and enjoy one another! As the chairs and blankets cover our back lawn, our friends enjoy food with family and friends, the playground, and of course the ice cream truck!
When: Thursday, May 22nd 5:30 p.m.
Where: Each family should bring a blanket or chairs to sit on in the field next to the school.
Food: You will have the choice of
1. Bringing your own picnic dinner or
2. Order a large mozzarella pizza from Lamonaco's of Northford for $18.00 Use the Button on right to order >>>>>>>>>>>>>
We will have the pizza ready for your pick up at arrival. Order by Tuesday, May 20th!
Everyone will bring their own drinks!
We will also provide the ice cream truck for our little friends!

Crafts
As a school community, we will have a garden stone station for each child to make a stone to take home! Many of our friends visit the stones and angels in our school garden along our front fence each day!
We will supply all of the other materials needed.
Graduation Caps and Gowns
STNS Graduation Information on Event, Gowns, & Photos!
Dear Four Year Old Families,
Believe it or not, graduation is around the corner! Our graduation will be held in St. Therese Church at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025. All children will report to school at the regular arrival time and guests will go directly to church. Seating in church is first come, first serve. The graduates will be dismissed from graduation on this day. A reception will follow on the lawn outside of church. You are welcome to invite as many guests as you would like.
Gowns: In preparation for graduation, each child wears a commemorative graduation gown. The fee for the graduation gown package of the gown, hat, and tassel with the graduation year is $18.00 per a child including shipping. If you are using a sibling’s gown, the only fee is the new tassel with this year for $5.00 including shipping. Please submit payment by clicking the red button on right >>>>>>>
Selecting the whole package option or tassel only option by Friday, May 2nd. The gowns will remain at school until graduation. If you are using a sibling’s gown, please let me know and send it in to me by May 1st to label them.

Pictures
Pictures: We will also be offering graduation pictures once again this year! We are blessed to have our school photographer, David Frost, join us on Monday, May 5th. An order form will be sent home shortly with directions and a link to order online prior to the day of pictures. Pictures are taken during class time early in the day. The gowns are pre-ordered and used on picture day. Pictures are optional and up to each family.
Thank you again and don’t forget to save the date of June 6th in church for graduation! Formal invitations sent home shortly!
PLAY GROUP Registration
Playgroup registration: If your child turns two by October 2025, you are welcome to join our parent/child playgroup that meets twice a month on a Thursday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. from October through May. The purpose of our playgroup is to expose your child to an early childhood setting as well as provide parent education.
The playgroup is structured with me as the facilitator and a teacher assistant. This is similar to our classrooms where there is a teacher and teacher assistant. The hour is filled with a modified version of a typical day in nursery school with songs, books, centers, activities, snack, and outdoor play. If you are interested in this program, please visit our website to register! This is a great transition to the three year old year program the following year!
