4 Year Old Field Trip to Rose's Orchards

1:00 p.m. Trip: Miss Jenn M/W/F Class & Miss Christine M/W/F & M-F Students

2:00 p.m. Trip: Miss Kathie’s M-F Class & Miss Erin’s M/W/F Class

In correlation with our theme on fall and apples, our culminating activity will be a visit to Rose’s Orchard in North Branford on Friday, October 7th , 1:00 p.m.  and 2:00 p.m. . This is a fun excursion for both parent and child as we pick apples, choose a pumpkin to take home, go on a hayride, and visit the farm animals with an ice cream at the end! The children utilize this opportunity to share their new vocabulary in a hands on setting. Our curriculum includes exposure to science, language, music, and social studies related to the theme of fall and apples.

 Our field trips require all students to be accompanied and transported by an adult. Due to the car seat law this is the only way to transport our students.  Parents are responsible for their own child on the field trip. We will meet at Rose’s Orchard, 33 Branford Road North Branford (488-7996). Take Route 80 North to the intersection with Dairy Queen and McDonald’s. Take a right onto Branford Road and go through one light. Rose’s Orchard is located on the left after the light. 

 We realize that some of our parent’s work schedules may not allow for them to attend. Parents may choose another adult such as an aunt, uncle, or grandparent to attend in their place. We will follow the schedule below to accommodate all classes. The fee for the field trip is $16.00 for one child (pumpkin, apples, hayride, ice cream) and  $7.00 for one adult (hayride).   Siblings are welcome to attend but must pay the fee unless under one year of age.  This includes apples, a pumpkin for home, a hayride. Miss Jenn & Miss Christine Classes 1:00 p.m. Field trip

Noon: Pick up from school/ Attend 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  on this day:

*Lunch will not be served on this day. There is a large tent at Rose’s Orchard where you can bring a lunch on this day. The orchard also has a grill next to their ice cream stand and lunch can be purchased. This can take some time.

*Meet in front of the petting zoo at 1:00 p.m.

Miss Kathie’s & Miss Erin’s Class 2:00 p.m. Field trip

Noon regular pick up for those students are normally a noon pick-up

1:00 p.m: Pick up from school for those who Attend 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

These all day students will eat lunch at school.

*Meet in front of the petting zoo at 2:00 p.m.

In case of rain, you will be notified via text alert

by 8:00 a.m. on the morning of the field trip. The rain date will be:  Wednesday, October 11th  at the same times of 1:00 p.m .and 2:00 p.m.
